Cobra Killer , the demented duo of Gina V.D'Orio and Annika Line Trost, first came together in the late 90's for a couple of legendary releases for Alec Empire's Digital Hardcore imprint ( "Right into a Kick for More" recently voted as one of the top 500 singles of all time..). Since then the girls have donned their blood-soaked nurse uniforms and have honed their love of 60's psych rock and freaked out electronic mashups into a glorious display of scuzzy euphoria that couldn't be more fashionable if it tried. And if you think that's a bad thing, gina and Annika ain't gonna tolerate your negative attitude - they've got an ever-increasing possee of fans (Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore recently exclaimed "We played a couple of shows these last few nights in Germany with Cobra Killer that completely knocked us out. It’s two girls and a sampler, and it was just phenomenal, the most inspiring shows" The likes of Thomas Fehlmann and T.Raumschmiere have been hassling the girls to add that disturbed Cobra Killer dimension to their own offerings. The girls have imbued the likes of Peaches with enough confidence to crash into her sampler and beat box without a care in the world, and have at long last delivered a full-length collection of tracks that take that determination to the next level.
