Born Free

The new M.I.A video directed by Romain Gavras looks and sounds like something Atari Teenage Riot might do. It's a powerful [and explicitly violent] piece of politically-charged art. I don't see stuff like this from mainstream artists much, if ever. If you haven't seen it yet, you might want to be sitting down.

M.I.A, Born Free from ROMAIN-GAVRAS on Vimeo.

I mean no disrespect- I've honestly been reading this blog for many (many) years. But why keep it running anymore? Your heart clearly isn't in it, or rather, your regular self is distracted.

Let go. Delete, move on, etc etc...

As an infrequent blogger, I say Boo to the above.
But, this video does remind me of the excellent, rarely seen, all-too-relevant Punishment park, by Peter Watkins.
What happened to the idea of film as critical agitation?
