Wow.

After that speech, this cynic wants to fly an American flag from his front porch for the first time ever.

I had so much fun bitching about Sarah Palin. What am I going to do now?

It was a really good speech. It was JFK good. I wouldn't want the job he is about to face. He has balls... huge balls. His confidence is unflappable. I hope he puts it on the line and makes good on the things he said.

I hope that there really isn't an initiation of big fat industrialist pigs, in a dark conference room, chomping on cigars, who show the president-elect a film of the Kennedy assassination... you know, the film from an angle never shown to the public.

I don't believe that the president of the United States can really cause sweeping changes that actually make OUR lives better. I want to believe though. I really do.

for the first time in my life, i want to fly the flag too.

i'm in long beach, california. people are honking horns, setting off fireworks, skating up and down the street waving american flags and yelling, smiling at one another and saying hello as they pass with a new glimmer in their eye. i've never voted before this election. i never much cared about any politicians before. did people celebrate this way when clinton won?

at least we got the presidential election right…too bad it's looking like gay marriage will be banned here again.

This is a time to look past the trees and see the forest for once. Cynicism is officially out of fashion.

Saying it doesn't make it so. America is still fucked-- unemployment still has yet to peak, the Christmas layoffs are right around the corner, and the foreclosures keep on keepin' on.

It's going to get a hell of a lot worse before it gets any better. And Obanga can't do a damn thing about it.
